Patriotic service organizations provide supplies for local schools

Last fall, when the Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and Cobbs Hall Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), had their fall meeting, they took up a collection of nearly $600 to buy supplies for the DAR’s Community Classroom Project.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has held up the process, Joan Carlson, chairman of Cobbs Hall DAR’s Community Classroom Committee, gathered wish lists and then purchased the supplies, reported Cobbs Hall regent Michele Tucker.
