IRVINGTON—For Irvington resident Joseph Hothard it’s been a long and frustrating process to get approvals for a pier on his Carter Creek property. His pier and the approval process were a subject at meetings for both the planning commission and the town council last week.
The planning commission on January 7 held its first reading for an amended conditional use permit (CUP) application for Hothard’s pier. Previously, the commission recommended a CUP be granted, public hearings had been held, and the town council was ready to hold its first public reading of a resolution to approve the permit in December.
