Following a public hearing last Thursday, the Lancaster planning commission recommended the board of supervisors approve a rezoning request.
According to planning and land use director Don Gill, applicant Jimmie Carter of Carter Financial Corporation wishes to sell the parcel in question to an existing business in the county which has outgrown its current location.
The 4.2-acre parcel is the site of the maintenance building for the former King Carter Golf Course.
