The Rappahannock Pistol and Rifle Club (RPRC) is a private, NRA Gold Medal shooting facility in White Stone.
The RPRC has been in White Stone since 1982 with a purpose of encouraging organized pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting among legal residents in the community, and the safe and responsible exercise of the shooting sports, reported Jackson Neal. In that regard they provide the opportunity to develop those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of our independence.
Many adults today were exposed to the shooting sports through past programs in schools, youth groups, the military and community organizations, said Neal. RPRC is one such resource serving the Northern Neck for nearly 40 years, offering programs appropriate for adults and youth, 12-17, with adult supervision.
While their ranges are for the enjoyment of members and their invited guests, the community outreach efforts include crime prevention and firearms training programs, conducted by NRA certified trainers and available to all residents in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
