RCA to welcome pianist on March 18

The Rappahannock Concert Association’s 2023 spring concerts will begin with a solo pianist hailed by critics as “brilliant” and “truly outstanding.” Dr. Maria Yefimova will take her place at the Steinway piano at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, at the Northumberland School Complex, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville.

A native of Russia, Yefimova graduated with honors from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. After receiving a full scholarship from the Manhattan School of Music, she moved to the U.S. to pursue her master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts.

Yefimova has performed in Italy, Spain, England, Slovakia, Croatia, Russia, and the U.S., in major venues including Carnegie Hall, Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Malii and Rachmaninoff Halls, Steinway Hall (NYC), and Slovak Philharmonic Hall.

She has been featured on many national and international TV….
