The winners of Rappahannock Community College’s (RCC) fall 2018 student research paper awards have been announced, according to Dan Ream, RCC library coordinator.
This competition recognizes excellent writing and research in student papers at RCC. All entries were reviewed by Ream and Sarah Pope, dean of college advancement. There were 23 papers submitted.
First prize was awarded for “Assessing the Cost of Healthful Food Choices in America,” by Sarah Wagner of King George. The first prize award is $200. This paper was written for professor Mark Brandenberger’s principles of nutrition and human development class. Professor Brandenberger received a $50 honorarium.
Marianne Warrington of Hartfield earned the second prize of $100 for “Justice and Capital Punishment,” written for…
