Lancaster tested its skills against larger schools over the holiday break and lost by 13 to a Class 4 West Virginia team during boys basketball tournament play at Strasburg High School.
Nelson County beat the varsity Red Devils, 60-46, on the first day of play Monday, December 29, and Buckhannon-Upshur got by Lancaster, 59-46, on Tuesday, December 30.
In the first game, Nelson County used a 22-5 third-quarter run to blow open a two-point halftime lead. The Devils were held to two field goals….
