The Lancaster High School boys team scored 146 points as the runner-up behind West Point with 163.5 points at a track and field meet Wednesday, April 13, at Charles City. Northumberland placed third with 98 points.
Matthew Kane and Carter McGee led Lancaster’s distance runners, who took all but one spot in the top five in the two-mile run.
Kane won the 1600 meter run in 5:11.53 and McGee won the 3200 meter in 11:58.55. Kane was the runner-up in the 3200 in 12:10.48, while Jameson Scott placed fourth in the two-mile (13:03.77) and Brian McCrillis finished fifth (14:14.45).
