The final Heathsville Farmers Market of the season will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. October 19 at Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern, 73 Monument Place, Heathsville.
This event is part of “Make It a Heathsville Saturday,” a local initiative that brings the entire Heathsville community together to offer fun shopping, eats and activities, said Corinne Becker of the Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern Foundation, market sponsor.
The market usually attracts over 40 vendors, including purveyors of local produce, baked goods, gourmet peanuts, jams, pickles and quality handcrafts, said Becker. There are new vendors every month.
The public is invited to bring their pets for a blessing of the animals ceremony at 10 a.m., courtesy of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, she said.
