Sheriff’s Report 06-06-24

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against seven individuals.

Felonies

Timothy Kirk Zingg, 57, of  Lancaster was charged May 27 with discharging firearms within or at building or dwelling house, use or display of firearm in committing a felony, seven counts of knowingly and intentionally possess or transport a firearm after having been convicted of a felony, and misdemeanors reckless handling a firearm so as to endanger life, limb or property, while being a person permitted to carry a concealed handgun, carry a concealed handgun in a public place while under the influence of alcohol, of illegal drugs, and appearing in public in an intoxicated condition.

Marsha Elizabeth Sitnik, 75, of Lancaster was charged May 28 with malicious bodily injury by means of any caustic substance or agent.

Misdemeanors

A Kilmarnock woman, 33, was charged May 27 with assault and battery.

A Lancaster man, 22, was charged May 28 with a pretrial services violation.

A Mechanicsville man, 20, was charged May 28 with failure to appear in the Lancaster County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on May 28.

A White Stone man, 26, was charged June 1 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

A Kilmarnock man, 19, was charged June 1 with stalking.

Activity report

May 27: Staff responded to the 40 block of Norris Road for suspicious activity, to the 300 block of Millburn Way for trespassing, to River and Mary Ball roads for a downed tree, to the 700 block of Preserve Drive for vandalism to a mailbox, to the 200 block of Pinckardsville Road for a civil complaint, to the 1000 block of Levelgreen Road for shooting into an occupied dwelling, and to Washington Street for a reckless driver.

May 28: Staff responded to the 400 block of Lara Road for vandalism to a mailbox, to the 2000 block of Morattico Road for vandalism to a mailbox, to the 200 block of Rock Neck Road for harassment, to the 20 block of Shipyard Lane for debris in the highway causing damage to a motor vehicle, to the 1500 block of Lara Road for vandalism to a mailbox, to the 2000 block of White Chapel Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 50 block of Wishing Well Lane for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 4000 block of White Chapel Road for an adult welfare check.

May 29: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Mary Ball Road for the report of a fight in progress; responded to Washington Street & Lancaster Creek Drive for the report of a downed tree; responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for the report of an adult welfare check.

May 30: Staff responded to the 8000 block of River Road for a noise complaint, to the 400 block of Buzzards Neck Road for legal advice, to the 400 block of Old Orchard Road for downed power lines, to Mary Ball and River roads for a reckless driver, to the 30 block of Maidley Beach Road for a larceny, to the 100 block of Mulberry Creek Road for a civil complaint, to the 300 block of Millburn Way for a civil complaint, and to Washington Street for a reckless driver.

May 31: Staff responded to the 70 block of Rose Drive for threats, to the 400 block of Greentown Road for a larceny, to Old Salem Road for debris in the highway, to the 10000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for threats, to the 100 block of Riverwood Drive for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for gunshots in the late evening hours.

June 1: Staff responded to the 7000 block of James B. Jones Memorial Highway for destruction of property, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an assault.

June 2: Staff responded to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for a reckless driver, to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for debris in the highway, to the 90 block of Levelfields Lane for trespassing, and to the 800 block of Flowering Field for a traffic complaint.

Staff also conducted five traffic stops, issued three summonses, assisted a motorist, investigated eight building alarms, processed a mental health order,  logged an inmate transport, received 10 E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

The White Stone and Kilmarnock volunteer fire departments responded to a residential structure fire at 1175 Mosquito Point Road.

White Stone VFD responded to a brush fire at 139 James Lane.

Kilmarnock VFD responded to a commercial structure fire at 205 Waverly Avenue.
