Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported misdemeanor charges against two individuals.
A Kilmarnock woman, 21, was charged January 3 for violation of a pretrial positive drug test.
A Bristow woman, 30, was charged January 10 with obstructing justice, resisting arrest and trespassing.

January 6: Staff responded to the 6000 block of Courthouse Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Shiloh School Road and Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Jessie duPont Memorial Highway and Mt. Olive Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an adult welfare check, to School and North Main streets for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 10000 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a traffic hazard, and to the 300 block of Cove Colony Road for an adult welfare check.
January 7: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to the 70 block of Peake Road for disorderly conduct, and to the 200 block of Lowery Creek Road for legal advice.
January 8: Staff responded to the 11000 block of Mary Ball Road for a disabled vehicle, to the 8000 block of River Road for a verbal dispute, to the 4000 block of Lara Road for an adult welfare check, and to Devils Bottom Road for a disabled vehicle.
January 9: Staff responded to the 90 block of Broad Reach Lane for an adult welfare check, and to the 100 block of Inlet Cove for trespassing.
January 10: Staff responded to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for legal advice, to the 600 block of Newtown Road for legal advice, and to the 800 block of Ocran Road for suspicious activity.
January 11: Staff responded to the 8000 block of River Road for an assault.
January 12: Staff responded to the 90 block of Turner Lane for gunshots in the late evening hours, to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for legal advice, and to the 400 block of Chesapeake Drive for legal advice.
Staff also conducted 20 traffic stops, issued 21 summonses, assisted six motorists, recorded a deer strike accident, handled a request for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, logged an inmate transport, received six E911 hang up calls, and fielded three calls for animal control service.
Fire calls
Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash at Shiloh School Road and Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, as well as a traffic crash at School and North Main streets.
White Stone VFD responded to a structure fire at 71 Turner Lane.
Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.
Felonies
Shaquoy Yvette McKellar, 31, of Heathsville was charged December 23 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury for feloniously selling or distributing a Schedule II controlled substance. She was served by the Virginia State Police (VSP).
Keyvone Trayus Williams, 33, of Weems was charged January 1 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to appear in court on an original felony charge. He was served by the Newport News Police Department.
Mark Anthony Monk Jr., 36, of Burgess was charged January 7 with two felony counts of receiving stolen or aid in concealing firearms and four misdemeanor counts of buying or receiving stolen goods. These were Northumberland County warrants, served by the VSP, and obtained by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
Desmond Brice O’Neal Wiggins, 18, of Lottsburg was charged January 11 with receiving stolen or aid in concealing a firearm. This was a Northumberland County warrant, served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville man, 43, was charged December 21 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Gloucester County General District Court for failing to comply with pre-trial services and bond conditions. He was served by the NCSO.
A Lottsburg woman, 43, was charged December 23 with assault and battery. This was a Lancaster County warrant, served by the NCSO.
A Fredericksburg woman, 38, was charged December 28 with driving under the influence of alcohol and was issued a summons for refusal of a breath test.
A Heathsville man, 38, was charged December 29 with assault and battery. He also was charged with damaging property, disorderly conduct, three counts of indecent exposure and a summons was issued for being drunk in public.
A Heathsville man, 40, was charged December 30 on a direct indictment issued by the Westmoreland County Circuit Court for original charges of profane language over the airway and six counts of failing to appear in court. He was served by the NCSO.
A Stafford woman, 19, was charged January 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol.
