Sheriffs’ Reports 03-21-24

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against four individuals.

Felonies

Kentel Devante Noel, 32, of Weems was charged March 12 with revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on a felony offense.

Stephen Eric Ohree Jr., 32, of Kilmarnock was charged March 14 with violation revocation of suspension of sentence and probation on a felony offense for the underlying charge of destruction of property.

Misdemeanors

A White Stone man, 43, was charged March 12 with driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and refusal to submit breath or blood for chemical test.

A White Stone woman, 24, was charged March 15 with assault and battery of a family or household member.

Activity report

March 11: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a single-vehicle traffic crash, to Merry Point and Devils Bottom roads for a downed tree blocking the highway, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a citizen requesting an emergency protective order (EPO).

March 12: Staff responded to the 500 block of Goodluck Road for a child welfare check, to Mosquito Point Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash, and to Chase Street and Hatton Avenue for a fight in progress.

March 13: Staff responded to the 200 block of Weems Road for the violation of an EPO, to Mary Ball Road and Whites Lane for a disabled vehicle, to the 100 block of Pine Place for legal advice, to the 300 block of White Chapel Road for disorderly conduct, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a citizen requesting an EPO.

March 14: Staff responded to the 5000 block of Rivers Landing Terrace for an adult welfare check, to River View Drive for a traffic complaint, to the 100 block of Carters Cove Drive for a trespassing complaint, and to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a suspicious person.

March 15: Staff responded to the 1300 block of Weems Road for an adult welfare check, to Mary Ball and Regina roads for suspicious activity, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Fairway Drive for an adult welfare check, to the 700 block of Hoecake Road for a scam, to the 100 block of Ondacreek Lane for a scam, to the Norris Bridge for debris in the highway, and to the 10 block of Third Street for suspicious activity.

March 16: Staff responded to the 200 block of Grand Villa Drive for a civil complaint, to the 400 block of Old Orchard Drive for a sonic boom, to the 1500 block of Irvington Road for debris in the highway, and to River Road and Thomas Landing Road for gunshots in the late evening hours.

March 17: Staff responded to Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital for an assault, and to the 1000 block of River Road for an adult welfare check.

March 18: Staff responded to the 1800 block of Windmill Point Road for an adult welfare check.

Staff also conducted 33 traffic stops, issued 31 summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded two deer strike accidents, investigated seven building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged two inmate transports, received 18 E911 hang up calls, and fielded four calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department responded to a traffic crash at Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads, a dumpster fire at 144 Shamrock Court, a brush fire at 168 Pinckardsville Road, and with Upper Lancaster VFD to a fire alarm at 924 Morattico Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 10 individuals.

Felonies

Kentel Devante Noel, 32, of Weems was charged March 12 on a capias issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for violating his probation.

Charles Austin Roadley, 27, of New Kent was charged March 12 with taking an advance for construction that was not performed. This was a Northumberland County warrant served by the City of Richmond.

Terry Maurice Gordon, 43, of Hampton was charged March 13 with a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for an original charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug.

Keandre Terel Moye, 27, of Kinsale was charged March 15 on a direct indictment issued by the Northumberland County Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury for four counts of distribution of a Schedule I/II Drug.

Misdemeanors

A Tappahannock man, 34, was charged March 9 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear on original charges of petit larceny, damaging property and interfering with property rights. The arrest was made by the White Stone Police Department.

A Heathsville man, 50, was charged March 11 with petit larceny.

A Heathsville man, 32, was charged March 14 with driving suspended.

A Heathsville man, 32, was charged March 14 with violating a protective order. This was a Henrico County warrant served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Heathsville man, 23, was charged March 16 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Richmond man, 43, was charged March 17 with obscene language over a telephone and one count of a false report to law enforcement. He also was charged with three summonses for causing the telephone to ring with the intention to annoy.
