Sheriffs’ Reports 05-13-21

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against six individuals.

Felonies

Jaclyn Mayra Smith, female, 44, of Kilmarnock was charged May 10 with malicious wounding.

Michael Anthony Coleman, 34, of White Stone was charged May 5 with stalking, second offense within five years, and assault.

Ty Alexander Brazell, 22, of Lancaster was charged May 9 with malicious wounding.

Misdemeanors

A Lancaster man, 37, was charged May 3 with three counts of probation violation on felony offenses.

A Lancaster man, 67, was charged May 3 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Weems man, 32, was charged May 6 with assault and battery of a family member.

Activity report

May 3: Staff responded to the 100 block of Bobwhite Lane for a disorderly person armed with a weapon, to the 7200 block of Jessie duPont Memorial Highway for a domestic disturbance, to the 100 block of Morattico Road for a missing adult, and to the 3000 block of White Chapel Road for a domestic assault involving alcohol.

May 4: Staff responded to the 600 block of Rappahannock Drive for an intoxicated person in public, to the 300 block of Yankee Point Road for a domestic disagreement, numerous weather related reports of trees down, power outages, buildings damaged in the Merry Point, Kilmarnock, Black Stump and the Coxs Farm Road areas.

May 5: Staff responded to the 100 block of School Street to assist Kilmarnock Police Department (KPD) with a domestic disturbance, to the 900 block of Peirces Road for a possible suicidal person, to the 100 block of Owings Court to check the welfare of a resident, to the 8800 block of Mary Ball Road for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to the 1000 block of Beanes Road for the attempt to obtain money under false pretenses, to the 1000 block of Buzzards Neck Road for a domestic assault, and to the 300 block of Yankee Point Road for a verbal disagreement.

May 6: Staff responded to the 900 block of Harris Road for vandalism, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for bicyclists causing a traffic problem, to the 700 block of River Road for a downed tree in the roadway, to Chinns Mill on Mary Ball Road to assist Richmond County Sheriff’s Office with the a pursuit of a vehicle by law enforcement, to the 1100 block of Regina Road to assist Animal Control with a domestic disturbance to the 100 block of Sandlin Drive for vandalism, to Mollusk for a possible intoxicated driver, to the 500 block of Lancaster Creek Drive for vandalism involving a family member, and to the 700 block of Goodluck Road for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in fatalities.

May 7: Staff responded to the 100 block of Lumberlost Road to assist emergency medical services with a pedestrian who fell near the roadway, and to the 100 block of Shore View Drive for vandalism.

May 8: Staff responded to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for vandalism and threats to kill/harm another, to White Stone for a reckless driver, to the 10600 block of Mary Ball Road for a trespasser on a dirt bike, to the 100 block of Castle Lane to check the welfare of a resident, and to the 18700 block of Mary Ball Road for a single-vehicle traffic crash.

May 9: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Goodluck Roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Weems Road and Wilson Lane for gunshots at an occupied vehicle, to the 500 block of Sullavans Road for a child custody dispute, to the 100 block of Wiggins Avenue to assist KPD with a domestic assault, to the 100 block of Cottonwood Lane for a person with mental issues who assaulted a family member, and to the 300 block of Yankee Point Road for a person with an altered mental status.

Staff also conducted five traffic stops, issued three summonses, assisted a motorist, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated two building alarms, processed two mental health orders, logged three inmate transports, received 19 E911 hang-up calls, fielded four requests for animal control service and issued a related summons.

Fire calls

Kilmarnock, Upper Lancaster and White Stone volunteer fire departments responded to storm damage calls countywide.

Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a brush fire on Devils Bottom Road, a traffic crash on Goodluck Road, a fire/smoke alarm on Norwood Street, a lift assistance request on Coxs Farm Road, and with White Stone VFD to a structure fire on Ice House Drive.

Upper Lancaster VFD also responded to an electrical fire on Mary Ball Road.

White Stone VFD also responded to fire/propane alarm on Windmill Point Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against six individuals.

Felonies

Kirk Lamont Lampkin Jr., 26, of Burgess was charged May 3 with disregarding a signal from law enforcement/speeding in excess of 20 mph. He also was charged with reckless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle and failing to wear a helmet.

Terrance Dowayne Drake, 43, of Heathsville was charged May 3 with a direct indictment issued from the Northumberland County Multi-Jurisdictional Grand Jury for two counts of selling/possession with intent to distribute, this being the third or subsequent time.

Chasity Ann Crockett, 37, of Warsaw was charged May 7 with a capias to show cause issued by Northumberland County Circuit Court to show cause why her suspended sentence should not be revoked. She was charged by the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville woman, 23, was charged April 30 with violating a protective order.

A Burgess man, 37, was charged May 4 with failing to appear in the Northumberland County General District Court for an original charge of driving revoked.

A Warsaw woman, 37, was charged May 7 with a capias to show cause issued by Northumberland County Circuit Court for failing to comply with her pre-trial supervision by failing to report for intake. She was arrested by the WCSO.
