Sheriffs’ Reports 1-16-20

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against six individuals.

Felonies

Jonathan Donte Owens, 30, of Lancaster was charged January 7 with possession of a Schedule I or II narcotic.

Schalacey Nicole Webb, 29, of Heathsville was charged January 9 with grand larceny.

Shawn Lee Daniels, 43, of Lancaster was charged January 10 with failure to perform construction over $500.

Misdemeanors

A Kilmarnock man, 55, was charged January 7 with contempt of court, failure to appear.

An Irvington man, 33, was charged January 7 with violating bail/pretrial services.

A Heathsville man, 22, was charged January 10 with possession of marijuana.

Activity Report

January 6: Staff responded to the 300 block of Gaskins Road for a domestic assault, to the 2500 block of Black Stump Road to investigate the report of a death, and to a walk-in report of the larceny of a wallet and credit cards.

January 7: Staff responded to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for a possible suicidal person, to the 700 block of Millenbeck Road for the report of suspicious activity, to the 1000 block of White Chapel Road for the larceny of a purse and credit cards, to the 1500 block of Waverly Avenue for the report of a possible suicidal person, and to a walk-in report of a reckless driver.

January 8: Staff responded to the 9000 block of Mary Ball Road for a sexual assault, and to the 200 block of Orchard Point Drive for a domestic disturbance.

January 9: Staff responded to the Merry Point Road area for juvenile behavioral issues.

January 10: Staff responded to the 200 block of Shady Lane for credit card fraud and theft.

January 11: Staff responded to the 900 block of Beanes Road to assist the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office with the report of a man with a knife threatening to do harm, to the 500 block of Wilson Lane for suspicious activity, to the 400 block of East Church Street for an abandoned vehicle, to the 100 block of Boat House Cove for golf carts on the highway, and to Mary Ball and Merry Point roads for an abandoned vehicle.

January 12: Staff responded to the 500 block of Chesapeake Drive for a fight in progress in the highway, to the 100 block of Hatton Avenue to assist the Kilmarnock Police Department with a domestic disturbance, to the intersection of Black Stump and Lumberlost roads for a juvenile on a four-wheeler without a helmet, and to Goodluck Road for a vehicle stopped in the roadway with its high beams on.

Staff also conducted 24 traffic stops, issued 13 summonses, assisted eight motorists, recorded three deer strike accidents, handled six calls for traffic control, investigated eight building alarms, processed a mental health order, logged five inmate transports, received 12 E911 hang-up calls, and fielded a call for animal control service.

Fire calls

The Upper Lancaster Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on River Road, an electrical fire on Buzzards Neck Road and with the Kilmarnock VFD to a chimney fire on Morattico Road.

The Kilmarnock VFD also responded to a small brush fire on Bluff Point Road, separate vehicle fires at Harris and Mary Ball roads and on Shiloh School Road, and with the White Stone VFD to separate structure fires on Irvington Road and New South Road, as well as a request for emergency medical assistance on Bay Water Drive.

The White Stone VFD also responded to separate fire/smoke alarms on Irvington Road and Rowes Road.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny A. Beauchamp this week reported charges against 12 individuals.

Felonies

Anthony C. Bliley IV, 30, of Heathsville was charged January 7 with felony breaking and entering and grand larceny from O’Grady’s Auto Repair.

Charles Edward Johnson, 54, of Maryland was charged January 8 on a capias to show cause issued from the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a Probation Violation.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 19, was charged December 30 with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A Lottsburg man, 42, was charged January 1 with being drunk in public.

A King George man, 26, was charged January 1 with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.

A Callao man, 27, was charged January 3 on a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear in their court and report counsel.

A Heathsville man, 38, was charged January 5 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Heathsville man, 54, was charged January 8 with violating a protective order.

A Heathsville woman, 41, was charged January 9 with assault and battery of a family member.

A Callao woman, 47, was charged January 8 with assault and battery.

A Heathsville woman, 52, was charged January 10 with driving under the influence of alcohol.

A Lancaster man, 25, was charged January 12 on a capias/attachment of the body issued from the Northumberland County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear in court.
