Sheriffs’ Reports

Lancaster County Sheriff Patrick McCranie this week reported charges against three individuals.

Felony

Kentel Devante Noel, 32, of Weems was charged February 25 with two counts of manufacturing, selling, giving, distributing or possessing with intent to manufacture, sell, give or distribute a controlled substance.

Misdemeanors

A Richmond woman, 22, was charged February 19 with violating provisions of a protective order.

A Kilmarnock man, 56, was charged February 26 with assault and battery.

Activity report

February 19: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Methodist Church roads for a reckless driver, and to the 6000 block of Mary Ball Road for lost property.

February 20: Staff responded to the 100 block of Doggett Lane for abuse, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for harassment.

February 21: Staff responded to the 10 block of Jeffery Avenue for a juvenile complaint, to the 60 block of Harris Road for lost property, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for fraud, to Mary Ball and Devils Bottom roads for a two-vehicle traffic crash, to Merry Point Road for a traffic complaint, and to the 500 block of Wilson Lane for legal advice.

February 22: Staff responded to Mary Ball and Goodluck roads for a disabled vehicle, to the 90 block of Cow Shed Road for a civil complaint, to the 11000 block of Mary Ball Road for a reckless driver, to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for a fight in progress, and to the 18000 block of Mary Ball Road for an adult welfare check.

February 23: Staff responded to the 100 block of Pine Place for gunshots in the late evening hours, and to the 8000 block of Mary Ball Road for an adult welfare check.

February 24: Staff responded to the 20 block of Whisk Drive for a hit and run, to the Robert O. Norris Jr. Memorial Bridge for debris in the highway, and to the 1000 block of Goodluck Road for debris in the highway.

February 25: Staff responded to the 200 block of Benson Road for suspicious activity, to the 2000 block of Merry Point Road for legal advice, to the 8000 block of River Road for a reckless driver, and to the 100 block of Entertainment Drive for trespassing.

February 26: Staff responded to the 300 block of Lara Road for a verbal dispute, to the 100 block of Peirces Road for trespassing, and to the 200 block of Ocran Road for an adult welfare check.

Staff also conducted 30 traffic stops, issued 25 summonses, assisted a motorist, handled a call for traffic control, investigated six building alarms, logged three inmate transports, received seven E911 hang up calls, and fielded two calls for animal control service.

Fire calls

Upper Lancaster and Kilmarnock volunteer fire departments responded to a trailer fire at 52 Williams Mill Lane.

White Stone VFD responded to an electrical smell at 80 Whisk Drive.

Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 14 individuals.

Felonies

Delonte Mantel Johnson, 31, of Heathsville was charged February 13 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court to show cause why suspended sentence should not be imposed. He was served by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). He also was charged February 16 on a show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court, served by the MCSO.

Jermain Elliott Gould, 42, of Weems was charged February 17 with having a concealed weapon, second offense, removing or altering numbers on a firearm, and wearing a mask to conceal his identity. Mr. Gould also was charged with a misdemeanor of leaving a loaded weapon to endanger a child.

Michael Dimitrios Angell, 56, of Lottsburg was charged February 18 with breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny or assault and assault and battery. He also was charged with obstruction of justice and two counts of damaging property.

Misdemeanors

A Heathsville man, 59, was charged February 12 with a capias/attachment of the body issued by the King William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for failing to appear in their court for child support.

A misdemeanor warrant was served February 12 on a Reedville man and woman, no ages given, for depredation of a dog.

A Richmond man, 28, was charged February 13 with criminal trespassing.

An Alberta man, 23, was charged February 16 on a capias to show cause issued by Brunswick County Circuit Court for failing to appear on an original charge of contempt. He was served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

A Mechanicsville man, 24, was charged February 16 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court for a violation of pretrial services.

A Heathsville man, 28, was charged February 16 with seven counts of violating a protective order. These were Northumberland County warrants served by the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

A Reedville woman, 37, was charged February 17 with failing to appear on an original charge of driving suspended.

A Lottsburg man, 56, was charged February 17 with assault and battery of a family member and obstruction of justice.

A Fredericksburg man, 30, was charged February 21 with assault and battery. This was a Northumberland County warrant, served by Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

A Lottsburg man, 56, was charged February 23 with 13 counts of violating protective orders.
