Striped Bass Board approves one fish limit

The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission’s (ASMFC) Atlantic Striped Bass Management Board recently approved Addendum VI to Amendment 6 of the Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass. The action came during the 78th annual meeting of ASMFC October 28-31 in New Castle, N.H.

The addendum reduces all state commercial quotas by 18%, and implements a 1 fish bag limit and a 28-inch to 35-inch recreational slot limit for ocean fisheries and a 1 fish bag limit and an 18-inch minimum size limit for Chesapeake Bay recreational fisheries.
