Sundays at Two will feature responsible landscaping talk

The 2024 Sundays at Two series will open January 21 with a presentation by Susan Lindsey. “Protect Your Property, Protect the Bay” will begin at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.  

A native of the UK, Lindsey has lived and worked on every continent except Antarctica. For 20 years she traveled the world as a teacher and wife of a U.S. diplomat. In 1997, she relocated to the Northern Neck and has resided in Northumberland County longer than any other place.  

Since joining the Northern Neck Master Gardeners (NNMG) in 1999, Lindsey has taken on a number of leadership positions, reported library director Alice Cooper. She served as NNMG president, community education chairman and Gardening in the Northern Neck seminar chairman. She also founded an after-school education program at Lancaster Primary School and ran it for seven years.
