Superintendent Russell stresses teamwork as Lancaster students, faculty prepare for virtual learning

LANCASTER—Superintendent Dan Russell on August 11 updated the Lancaster school board on remote learning plans for the school year that begins August 24.

“We understand that this is new and that there are many unknowns. It’s going to be OK, and we have plans to connect with each and every family to ensure that all of our students have what they need to learn, how to log on, and how to learn in a virtual classroom,” Russell said.

Russell said plans are in place to provide training for students and families for Canvas, the platform that students will use to access classes and coursework.
