The Original Rhondels, who defined “Beach Music” for Tidewater Virginia audiences in the 1970s, will return to Kilmarnock August 4, courtesy of Beachtown Records USA and the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN).
The show will be held in the air-conditioned BGCNN Activities Center, 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the performance will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person at the door, or in advance at the BGCNN.
“This is going to be super special,” said BGCNN executive director Phillip Mumford. “The Original Rhondels defined the sound of their era—a combination of Beach Music, Motown and Swing.
