LANCASTER—Tommy Earl Hoggard, 73, of Lancaster passed away on July 29, 2023 at his home.
Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Malva Hoggard; and father, William Roger (Bill) Hoggard.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Hoggard; his sisters-in-law, Terri Bonniville (Craig), Tina Nelson (Mike) and Lisa Daniels (Sherwood).
He was a 1968 graduate of Hampton High School and 1972 graduate of RIT, in Rochester, New York, with a degree in printing technology. From 1972-1985, he was a police officer for Hampton City. Tommy owned his own printing business, Hoggard Printing Co., for 30 years.
Tommy’s passion was working on his vehicles, fast cars and racing. He raced at Langley Speedway from 1985-1990. He was all American Track Champ in 1987 and 1990 was Grand Track Winner. He also loved to fly his helicopter and explore the land around this area.
A Celebration of Life will be held in months to come.
