MOLLUSK—A toddler drowned in the Greenvale Creek area of Lancaster County on Friday, August 25, according to Sheriff Patrick McCranie. The name of the child was not released.
Lancaster Emergency Services and other authorities responded to the call at 4 p.m., said Sheriff McCranie. The two-year-old girl had fallen off a dock into the creek. She was unresponsive at the scene when CPR was administered, he said. She was transported to Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital.
The family was visiting the area from out of state, said Sheriff McCranie.
