Great Art Heist

The 14th Great Art Heist will be held June 26 at the RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. Patrons can buy “early bird” Heist tickets through Thursday, May 6, and automatically be entered into an Early Bird Raffle.

The winning ticket will be drawn at The Heist. Purchase tickets at the gallery, www.ralartcenter.com, or 436-9309.

Sippin’ Saturday

Triple V Farms, Vines, Vodka or Vinegar, 3138 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Tipers, will host Sippin’ Saturday from noon-6 p.m. May 8 with Hard To Tell from 1-4 p.m.

Triple V Farms, Vines, Vodka or Vinegar, 3138 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Tipers, will host Sippin’ Sunday from noon-6 p.m. May 9 with Josh Lief from 1-4 p.m.

Woman’s club

The Woman’s Club of Northumberland County (WCNC) will meet Tuesday, May 11.  Members will gather at noon for light refreshments. The meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m..

The speaker will be Butch Gross, principal/director of the Northern Neck Technical Center. The first “Pim Montgomery Scholarship” will be presented to a Northumberland County student.

Free workshop

Visiting Angels will host a free virtual workshop “Effective Communication Strategies for Dementia” from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11. To register for the workshop, call 567-0281.

The workshop is for partners or families of loved ones facing dementia. Learn to decode verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia. Identify strategies to help connect through communication in each stage of the disease.

The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces will conduct a Joining Community Forces regional support meeting for Kilmarnock at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 13, via Zoom. Wine Down

Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, hosts Friday Night Wine Downs from 5-8 p.m., with music by Bob Wilson from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Music Tides

Paige Melton performs at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Fish Hawk Oyster Bar, Tides Inn, 480 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

Mercy Creek is featured from 5:30-8:30 p.m.Sundays on the Waterfront Terrace, Tides Inn, 480 King Carter Drive, Irvington.

Bluegrass concert

The Seldom Scene will present “Live At The Cellar Door” September 25 at Mount Airy Farm, 361 Millpond Road, Warsaw. The outdoor concert, rescheduled from 2020, will open at 4 p.m. with an act to be determined followed by two sets of the Seldom Scene starting at 5 p.m. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at this new date. 

General admission tickets are $35 per person. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold for $75 per person. Tickets are available at www.mountairy.farm, or 313-0815.
