Musical comedy
The Lancaster Players will present “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” at The Lancaster Playhouse, 361 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone. Performances are 8 p.m. on June 2-3, 8-10 and 15-17; and 3 p.m. on June 4, 11 and 18.
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at lancasterplayers.org, or 435-3776. The theater will open an hour before show times with complimentary snack plates and a cash bar.
Pig pickin’
The Fairfields Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, June 3, will present 2023 Pig Pickin’ on the Point at Buzzards Point Marina, 468 Buzzard Point Road, Reedville.
Tickets are $50 for adults, $20 for ages 8-12, free for those younger than 8. Chicken dinners
Chicken dinners will be available from 5-6:30 p.m. on first Mondays at American Legion Post #117, 39 School Street, Reedville.
Meals include fried chicken, mashed potatoes, choice of vegetables, salad, roll, dessert and drink. Dinners are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and younger, at the door.
Shoreline basics
The Northern Neck Master Gardeners Shoreline Evaluation Program will offer “Shoreline Basics: 10 Essentials Every Waterfront Homeowner Needs to Know” at 2 p.m. June 9 at the Helen and Tayloe Murphy Hall, Westmoreland State Park, 145 Cliff Road, Montross; and 2 p.m. June 15 at the Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Centre Drive, Kilmarnock.

Music by the River
The Music by the River concert series will open June 10 with Chris Stanley & Jane Cooper. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. at Belle Isle State Park, 1632 Belle Isle Road, Lancaster.
Picnics are welcome. A limited number of picnic tables will be available. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. The show is free; however, there is a $5 parking fee payable at the park entrance.
Fiber guild
The Five Rivers Fiber Guild will next meet at 10 a.m. June 12 at Wicomico Parish Church, 5191 Jessie duPont Memorial Highway, Wicomico Church. Members will show their fiber arts works. The public is invited.
Hobo Mariners
The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville, will host a Concert by the Creek from 6-9 p.m. June 17 featuring The Hobo Mariners. Tickets are $15 and will be sold at the door.

Summer jams
Northumberland County Community Center Organization, 679 Browns Store Road, Heathsville, will hold an Outdoor Summer Jam from 6-10 p.m. June 30. The fee is $12 per person. Purchase tickets from Phyllis D. Nickens, 577-3414, Terrell Diggs 436-4583, or any board members.
Music will be provided by DJ Terrell Diggs. Food, sodas and water will be available for purchase. B.Y.O.B., chairs, tables and tents.
Parade entries
The Town of Irvington seeks participants for its Hometown Parade at 11 a.m. July 3 along King Carter Drive, Irvington. Register by June 30 at visitirvingtonva.com/4thjuly. Owners of antique, classic and collector cars are invited to join a post-parade car show from noon-2 p.m. on the Irvington Commons.
