Virginia’s River Realm celebrates a successful 2024 Shoptober event
Virginia’s River Realm recently announced the success of Shoptober 2024, an event to boost retail sales among locally-owned businesses in Lancaster and Middlesex counties during October.
“With a focus on community spirit and supporting local enterprises, this event continues to remind us why it’s so important to Shop Local and Support Local,” said Town of Kilmarnock economic development coordinator Sharon Phillips.
This year, the winning Shoptober ticket was drawn October 31 on 101.7 BAY FM and 104.9 WIGO Country, adding excitement to an already festive day, said Phillips. Margy Childs of Burgess was the lucky recipient of the $500 prize….
