The Northern Neck Orchestra on Saturday, May 11, will celebrate works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, showcasing a virtuoso performance of the Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major by Irish pianist Michael McHale.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock. Music director Michael Repper will give a pre-concert talk.
Admission is by season subscription or $40. Tickets can be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.
The program also will feature McHale at the piano performing the U.S. premiere of Andrew Synnott’s Waiting for Elvira, a piece written as a prelude to Mozart’s piano concerto. The soundtrack of the….
