KILMARNOCK—At 11:03 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, Virginia State Police responded to a crash on Goodluck Road approximately 3/10 of a mile east of Hillcrest Lane.
The preliminary investigation indicates a Chevrolet Cavalier was headed east on Goodluck when it crossed the centerline. The Cavalier ran off the road to the left where it struck trees and overturned, reported VSP Richmond Division public information officer Sgt. Dylan Davenport.
The driver, a 17-year-old female, succumbed to her injuries on scene, said Sgt. Davenport. Clayresha P. Chewning, 20, of Kilmarnock, a passenger in the rear of the vehicle, also succumbed to her injuries on scene. A 17-year-old front seat passenger was transported for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
