Westland Beach at Windmill Point dedication slated Friday

WINDMILL POINT—On Friday, November 14,  a major construction project will come to a close with the dedication of Westland Beach at Windmill Point.

The project saw the protection and restoration of the shoreline at the new Windmill Point County Maritime Recreational Campus, providing multiple recreational and educational opportunities for the public, reported assistant county administrator and economic development director John Bateman.

County officials, project representatives, neighbors and the public will gather for an on-site dedication at 3 p.m. Friday.

Benefits of the project include:

• Enhanced resiliency to storms to protect public amenities, the marina and private residences.
