White-Hope wedding held

Mrs. Joshua Anthony White

With great pleasure, Dr. and Mrs. William Cameron Hope IV of White Stone  announce the wedding of their daughter, Lacey Adair Hope, to Joshua Anthony White on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Cotton Gin Inn in Edenton, N.C.

The Reverend Gary Pritchard Stanley of Edenton officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the Cotton Gin Inn as well.

Lacey is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Cameron Hope III of White Stone and Mrs. Frank Campbell Maloney III of Richmond. 

The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay White of Edenton. Joshua is the grandson of Mr. Joel C. Nixon Jr. and Mrs. James T. White both of Edenton. 

Miss Warner Ann Little of Washington, N.C., close friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Virginia Hope, Miss Frances Monroe Hope and Miss Cameron Campbell Hope, sisters of the bride, all of White Stone; Miss Chelsea Danielle White of Edenton, sister of the groom; Miss Haley Marie Candes of Cary, N.C.; Miss Caitlyn Mychel Gonzalez of Edenton; Miss Hannah Elizabeth Naylor of Rocky Mount, N.C.; Miss Amber Marie Recski of Galena, Md., and Miss Olivia Rebekah Yarborough of Cary, all friends of the bride. Miss Katharine Gray Farless of Edenton was flower girl.

Mr. Dylan James White of Edenton, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Brandon Philip Smith of Edenton, cousin of the groom; and Mr. Michael Graham Bass, Mr. Hunter Neal Bass, Mr. William Chandler Bunch, Mr. Brad Elliot Gosser, Mr. Steven Austin Harrell, Mr. Benjamin Scott Layton, Mr. Matthew Noah Winebarger, all of Edenton, and friends of the groom. Master Brayden Graham Bass of Edenton was ring bearer.

Mr. Robert Waters of Tyrell, N.C., a professional musician, played during the ceremony. Mrs. Marjorie Anne Barnette Hollowell of Edenton, close friend of the family, was mistress of ceremony. Colleen Coleman of New York, N.Y., was the reader.

The bride is employed as a school counselor at Perquiman’s Middle School. She is a graduate of North Carolina State University, Meredith College and John A. Holmes High School.

The groom farms with his grandfather at Nixon Farms and is also employed at United Parcel Service. He is a graduate of Beaufort County Community College and John A. Holmes High School.

The couple will make their home in Edenton after a honeymoon in the mountains of North Carolina.
