WHITE STONE—With no one from the public in attendance and little discussion, the White Stone Town Council on Thursday, June 2, opened and closed a public hearing on its proposed 2022-23 fiscal year budget in a matter of minutes.
Council scheduled a special meeting at 6 p.m. tonight, June 9, to approve the $226,545 proposal. The budget must be approved by July 1.
The budget includes an increase of $8,360 over the current year, primarily for a salary hike and expenses related to the town’s new public sewage project. It also includes an extra $9,000 in central administration expenses, including….
