WM Mason II Violin Shop donates 35 instruments to the Strings Crew

The WM Mason II Violin Shop in Fredericksburg recently donated 35 student-sized violins, violas, cellos and double basses to the Strings Crewe.

“It is unlikely we’ll ever have to buy another instrument,” said director Sue Nunn.

The Strings Crewe is a program teaching stringed instruments to Northern Neck children ages 6-12. It provides free instruments and scholarships for 90% of its students. Weekly in-person lessons take place in Heathsville, Weems and Warsaw, using COVID-19 protocol.
