KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Town Council last Monday tabled any further consideration of a recent unsolicited proposal from Aqua Virginia regarding acquisition of the town’s water and wastewater assets.
In October, council authorized town manager Tom Saunders to seek outside expertise to assist in evaluating the town’s water and wastewater assets and to commence a thorough analysis of an unsolicited proposal from Aqua Virginia.
At the November 20 meeting, councilman Michael Sutherland, who is chairman of the town’s water and sewer committee, announced that council would be tabling the matter indefinitely…
