A thousand of anything is a lot, let alone a thousand homeless cats!
Garfield’s Rescue Inc. (GRI) is proud to announce its 1,000th rescued feline. Holly is a senior gal that showed up at a Lancaster residence. Obviously a pet at one time, she had been on her own for quite a while. She came to GRI dirty, skinny and hungry. After going through the intake process of vaccinations, flea treatment and deworming, she has a full stomach and is now resting comfortably at one of GRI’s foster homes.
Rescuing, fostering and adopting homeless cats takes a team effort, said president Ann Bedford. Congratulations to the wonderful fosters, members and donors.
GRI was established in March 2020 with a mission to “Eliminate the suffering of homeless cats in the Northern Neck of Virginia.”
