Kilmarnock planners forward Carousel rezoning to council

KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Planning Commission on Monday, September 12, recommended town council approve a rezoning application authorizing the expansion of Carousel Physical Therapy.

The application, submitted in August by Ben Burton of Bay Design Group on behalf of Vicki and Brian VerMeer of Carousel Physical Therapy, requests rezoning of two parcels adjacent to their practice at 500 Irvington Road from residential/no commercial (R1) to residential/limited commercial (R2).

According to zoning administrator Marshall Sebra, the owners of Carousel had purchased the two adjacent properties with plans to first expand their parking lot and later further develop….
