Some 40 citizens attended a town hall meeting last Thursday, hosted by Lancaster District 1 supervisor Jack Larson at Yankee Point Marina, Windows on the Water.
This was an opportunity for citizens to provide input to help in dealing with some issues that the county may face in the upcoming budget, said Larson.
Popular topics among attendees were economic development, education, high-speed internet and revenues.
“I am very pleased with the town hall meeting and I was very satisfied by the turnout. There were a number of people that expressed their views and I did get some information from people on what they care about and I will pursue. Whether I will meet what they want is a different story,” said Larson. “It was a very good thing and I am certainly glad that I did it.”
