The Lancaster school board on January 8 proposed a 2020-2025 capital improvement plan (CIP) for the school system, beginning with a $67.1 million request for the first year.

Lancaster schools operations manager John Mann will present the plan for approval to the board of supervisors in February.

He said the priorities for 2020, the first year of the CIP,  include funding for new schools design, $66,800,000; replacement of two school buses, $190,000; annex remodeling, $40,000; heating and air conditioning for the Lancaster Middle School office and administration area, $28,000; and a school security grant, $25,000.

Costs have not been determined for improvements through 2025, however…
