LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened Friday, August 14, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of James D. Ludwig of Weems, charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor for violating probation, probation was revoked. Ludwig was sentenced to a total of nine years, eight months and 20 days with all but one month suspended. He also was ordered to pay $866.24 in court costs and serve 12 months of probation upon release.
Hannibal R. Tyler-El of Burgess, previously found guilty of a felony for drive while under the influence, previous related felony conviction; a felony for driving with a revoked license due to DWI; and a misdemeanor for operating a vehicle without ignition interlock was sentenced to six years, 12 months and 30 days with five years and 30 days suspended. He also was ordered to pay $945 in court costs and serve 12 months of probation upon release.
In the case of Megan N. Feldmann of Burgess, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for shoplifting/altering merchandise, a plea hearing was scheduled for September 4.
In the case of Stephen L. Russell of Hanover, charged with a felony for grand larceny, a trial was continued by defense motion and scheduled for September 18.
In the case of Wendy D. Smith of White Stone, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for refusing a breathalyzer, subsequent within 10 years, a trial was continued by defense motion and a status hearing scheduled for September 18.
In the case of Calvin F. Taylor III of Kilmarnock, charged with felonies for selling drugs near a school or library and manufacturing/distributing a Schedule I/II substance, third-plus offense, a trial was continued by defense motion and a plea hearing scheduled for October 16.
In the case of Khalil S. Oates of Richmond, charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob, a trial was scheduled for November 6.
In the case of Curneshia C. Porter of Heathsville, charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob, a trial was scheduled for November 6.
In the case of Remeshia N. Porter of Heathsville, charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob, a trial was scheduled for November 6.
