Boys & Girls Club honors four members

The Boys & Girls Club (BGC) of the Northern Neck recently announced four Youth of the Month awards.

The first ever Youth of the Month in Richmond County is Karen Crawley, 10, a fifth grader at Rappahannock Elementary School.

“Karen is always engaged and ready to learn. She is a leader by example. She is very kind and thoughtful,” said Richmond County program director Heather Jenkins. Crawley’s favorite activities at the club are drawing and coloring.

When she grows up, she wants to rescue animals. “I love my cat, Patches and my chicken, Mavis. I love all animals and want to do animal rescue….
