Northumberland County Sheriff Johnny Beauchamp this week reported charges against 11 individuals.
Felonies
Jerry Lee Hicks, 58, of Heathsville was charged June 26 with failing to perform construction, having been advanced over $1,000, and operating without a license.
John James Makowelski, 50, of Champlain was charged June 27 with felony unauthorized use of a vehicle and felony damaging property. He was served by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office.
Kaleb Avery Beale, 19, of Reedville was charged July 6 with malicious wounding and assault and battery of a family member. This was a Lancaster County warrant served by the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Misdemeanors
A Heathsville man, 36, was charged June 23 on a capias to show cause issued by the Northumberland County Circuit Court for a probationary violation. He was served by the Henrico County Police Department.
A Heathsville man, 23, was charged June 26 with petit larceny.
A Burgess woman, 41, was charged June 29 with assault and battery.
A Lottsburg man, 43, was charged June 30 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to appear in court and failing to pay any restitution. He also was served a warrant from Essex County for petit larceny.
A Warsaw woman. 25, was charged June 30 on a summons for causing the telephone or pager to ring and annoy.
A Heathsville man, 44, was charged July 1 with reckless driving.
A Lancaster man, 34, was charged July 2 on a capias/attachment of the body issued by the Northumberland County General District Court for failing to obey a court order. He was served by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
A Heathsville man, 44, was charged July 4 with driving under the influence, first offense.
Reminder, those charged with alleged crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
