KILMARNOCK—Barbara Tuohy Hinton passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Richard and Ruby Thomas Tuohy on May 6, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Johnnie Roland Hinton who proceeded her in death in 2022 after 70 years of marriage.
Barbara is survived by her devoted daughters, Patricia Bowler and Brenda Ball; her loving granddaughter, Melissa Mancuso; sister, Joan Lewis; brother, Richard Tuohy; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was loved by everyone that met her, her kindness and loving spirit touched many hearts. Barbara enjoyed a long successful career as an executive assistant to the comptroller of General Motors in Baltimore and retired to Virginia.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, September 7. The family will receive visitors at 1 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Methodist Church in Lancaster. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hopewell Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Faye Lewis, treasurer, 10202 Ridge Road, Lancaster, VA 22503.
