The Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck recently announced its Youth of the Month (YOM) members for November. The Lancaster County YOM is Khalia Merrill; Richmond County, Tomiyah Muse; and Northumberland County, Damien Diggs.
Lancaster
Merrill, 8, a third grader at Lancaster Elementary School, attends the Boys & Girls Club in Kilmarnock. She loves participating in art and reading. Her goal is to attend college and become a math teacher.
Merrill was selected as YOM for her helpfulness around the club, her excellent manners and her good grades. “I am really happy because I have never won anything before,” she said.
Richmond
Muse, 8, a third grader at Richmond County Elementary School, has been a member of the club since April 2023. Muse enjoys Fun Fridays at the Club.
“I love to spend time with my friends and staff at the club. I loved Water Wednesday during the summer,” she said.
