FARNHAM—Carol W. Lowery, 80, of Farnham passed away on January 14, 2024. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by family after her battle with lung cancer.
Carol was born on August 5, 1943, to the late W.H. & Lilly Walker of Corrotoman. Carol graduated from Lancaster High School and later went to business school in Richmond, but quickly realized that her passion was in healthcare. She served as a private caregiver until her retirement, treating her patients as if they were family.
Carol loved to keep busy at home during her retirement. She loved to work around the house, especially in the yard. It wouldn’t be a surprise to visit Carol and see her cutting grass, mulching leaves, and maintaining her flowerbeds. When Carol wasn’t outside, she loved to challenge herself with puzzles, cook meals for her family, and spend time with her canine companion, Domino.
Carol is predeceased by her husband, Jimmy Lowery; brother, Donnie Kay Walker (Carol); and grandson, Ethan Lowery.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Eve Ebel, Michelle Russell (Paul) and Keith Lowery (Linda); grandchildren, Lana, Kalya, Jason and Abrianna; and nieces and nephews, Brendan (Amber), Andrew (Angela) and Sarah Walker.
There will be a graveside service for the immediate family on Friday, January 19, at Farnham Baptist Church.
