Lancaster High School on May 19 shut out Middlesex 10-0 to put a lock on second place in Region A baseball and snare a home berth in this week’s tournament.
A 10-2 loss to Essex earlier last week, however, left Lancaster at 13-5 overall for the regular season. The Devils will host Chincoteague at 6 p.m. today, May 26. The winner advances to the regional semifinals on Tuesday, May 31, at the site of the higher seed. The tournament championship is at the higher seed on Thursday, June 2.
