WHITE STONE—Dorothy Pittman Headley, 84, of White Stone passed away on November 30, 2024. She was a member of White Stone United Methodist Church.
Dorothy had a passion for collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia, and love for her family and friends. She loved her two grand-fur-babies, Stella and Bebe, and her chosen family, Donnie, Lorie, Tabatha, Ayden and Jaden. She also loved her special friends Mary Gail Davis and Laura Lynn Bradley.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mattie Pittman; her son, Robert Headley Jr.; and son-in-law, Sam Kitching.
She is survived by two children, Patsy Kitching of St. Stephens Church and Roger Headley of White Stone; three sisters, Faye George of Lancaster, Joyce Broaddus and Florence Turlington, both of White Stone; and one brother, Frankie Pittman of Midlothian.
A special thank you to her caregiver Abby Barfield, who took such special and wonderful care of her. They grew a loving and caring relationship with each other. Our family couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Also a thank you to Lorie for helping out when we needed her.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, at White Stone United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to the Community Hospice House, 1133 Old Bon Air Road, Richmond, VA 23235, or through their website www.communityhospicehouse.com.
