All that was needed was a horse-drawn sleigh and Heathsville’s historic courthouse area would have looked like something out of a Currier and Ives painting. Snow briefly blanketed the area on Sunday, January 31, creating a peaceful scene at the Northumberland County Historic Courthouse and nearby blacksmith shop (above) on the Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern campus.
