The Lancaster High School boys track team bested several larger schools last Saturday to win the 13-team West Point Invitational. The last time the Red Devils won the West Point Invitational in 2019, they went on to claim the Class 1 state championship.
LHS won four individual events and had several runners-up to score 117 points, 19.5 points better than Class 2 Bruton. The field of 13 teams included Class 5s Gloucester and J.R. Tucker. Poquoson finished third with 62 points, West Point fourth with 53.50 and Northumberland fifth with 53.
