HEATHSVILLE—Mary E. Headley, 86, of Heathsville, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2024.
She was born to the late Wilbur C. Bryant and Virginia E. Bryant in Heathsville. Mary attended Northumberland County Schools and went on to work at Welch’s canning factory. She then met the love of her life, Lester Leonard “Dick” Headley, who was a farmer. Mary enjoyed working alongside her husband on the family farm, keeping house, being a wife and mother.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester “Dick” Headley; and grandson, Chris, whom she cherished.
Mary is survived by three sons, Everett Lee Oliff, Ronald Wayne Oliff (Amy); and stepson, Leonard Headley (Susan); three grandchildren, Ron Oliff Jr., John Oliff and Wayne Headley, and a very special daughter-in-law, Kathy Oliff.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 22, at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Coan Baptist Church in Heathsville.
