‘Nashville Legacy’ to open RCA concert series

Jason Coleman and Meagan Taylor will take the audience on a journey back to Nashville’s “golden era,” sharing the music made famous by Floyd Cramer and Chet Adkins.

Jason Coleman, Floyd Cramer’s grandson, and Meagan Taylor, Chet Atkins’ niece, will bring the “Nashville Sound,” pioneered by their legendary forerunners, to the Northern Neck on September 25.

This is the first of six shows in the Rappahannock Concert Association’s 2021-22 concert season. All concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday nights in the Performing Arts Theater at the Northumberland County School Complex, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville.

Floyd Cramer’s “slip note” piano style was an essential part of countless country, pop and rock hits in the 1950s and ’60s and is widely regarded as the standard for country piano.
