HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, September 21, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
In the case of Demar A. Davenport of Heathsville, charged with nine felony counts of extortion in writing, bail was denied and trial was set for November 23.
In the case of Bryan A. Pittman of Hartfield, charged with three felony counts of sexually penetrating a victim under the age of 13 with an object, three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery to a victim under the age of 13, and three felony counts of sodomy to a victim under the age of 13, trial was continued to October 5.
In the case of Jermaine M. Ball of Heathsville, charged with felony manufacturing a controlled substance, trial was set for November 23.
