RFA will host Latin Ballet of Virginia on February 10

The Lancaster Elementary School Theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock, will come alive with the high energy and intricate choreography of flamenco, tango and salsa February 10, as dancers with the Latin Ballet of Virginia perform selections from Alma Latina.

Hosted by the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts (RFA), the show will weave tradition, culture and politics into a journey about the history and soul (alma) of Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to bring in the multitalented Latin Ballet of Virginia, one of our regional artistic gems,” said RFA administrator Donna McGrath. “They are highly skilled in using music, costume and the expressive beauty of movement….
